Welcome. If you have found your way to this site, then congratulations!

What brings you here I ask?

Maybe you have heard about the amazing benefits of Reiki and decided to check it out.

Maybe you have some questions about the spiritual path and found Reiki this way.

Maybe you are ill and have tried many different treatments and thought you would try a spiritual treatment too; for Reiki is a form of spiritual healing.

Maybe you are very sick, have a serious dis-ease and conventional medicine has only been able to heal you so far

Maybe you feel great most of the time but could do with some time out, some deep relaxation.

Maybe you have a nagging pain which won’t go away.

Whatever the reason I’m very glad you visited, thank you.

Reiki is a wonderful complementary therapy which goes hand in hand with other holistic treatments and conventional medicine alike.

There is much written about Reiki, what it is, how and why it works, where it came from.

In the following pages, I shall explain my understanding of all of the above. There is plenty of further reading on this vast subject, but for the newcomers among you, I hope you will find my site informative, easy to understand and inspirational.

Oh and also I hope you book a Reiki treatment with me and experience first hand what this wonderful energy is really all about.

What is Reiki?

Reiki ( pronounced Ray- Key) is a natural healing modality. Reiki is pure energy which is transferred from practitioner into recipient. Reiki is gentle, empowering and nourishing. Reiki works by activating the body, mind and spirit’s natural ability to heal itself. So it is like receiving a boost of natural, pure energy to help kick start whatever healing needs to take place.I have come to know Reiki as a powerful helper once one has set one’s intent.

Reiki works with intention.

The recipient chooses or intends the healing, for example” I intend to have more energy” . We are very powerful beings who set about consciously creating our realities. If we are sick and we wish to be healed, then we can heal and if it is in our highest good, then it will happen.

Belief, trust and faith ( I don’t mean faith in a religious sense) I mean faith in “whatever the outcome is, it is the right one for you”. These mental patterns, self talk and activities have a powerful impact on what we manifest in our physical lives, including illnesses.

It seems that it is at this time in our evolution that these powerful healing modalities and belief systems are starting to penetrate into even the most cynical of minds and people are experiencing amazing transformations the world over.

For me Reiki has many wonderful effects, from clearing away negative thought patterns to changing one’s actual physicality and emotions so people can create what they truly desire in this life.

Back to Reiki and its re- discovery~

The development and re-creation of Reiki hails from Japan. Dr Mikao Usui was the first person to re-realise this method of healing in the early part of the 20th century.

After his first contact with Reiki during one of his many meditations, Dr Usui became enlightened. He spent the next part of his life healing others using the energy, developing the technique and then teaching others and attuning them to the energy. Today Reiki is practised across the continents in varying forms. The form of Reiki I practise is the traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho form and is directly descended from Dr Usui. My lineage can be found under the About Me page.

(When I speak of Dr Usui and him re- realising Reiki, I say re- realise because we are no strangers to natural hands on or hands off healing. The ancients such as the Atlanteans, Egyptians, Aztecs and native American cultures all had this ability and it was common place for healing to take place among them. It is my belief that the modern day human is no different. We all have the ability to heal ourselves and others.)

I personally feel very privileged and honoured to be a member of the Reiki community.

There is more about the history of Reiki and Dr Usui on the ”A LITTLE HISTORY” page of this site.

Reiki is not connected to any religious doctrine or sect. There is nothing that you have to believe in or subscribe to in order to benefit from or to learn Reiki.

A Reiki healer is not a diagnostician or a doctor. Reiki is not a replacement therapy for conventional medicine, but will work along side it as a complementary therapy. If your condition is of a serious nature then it is recommended that you consult your medical physician.

“Internally all is quiet and calm. The frantic thoughts which rush around your head have been stilled; it is within this space one can connect with the inner self. For it is here that the spirit resides. It is here that the quiet voice urging and guiding us into our natural creative flow, can be heard. To be in unity with oneself is a feeling no words can describe. It must be experienced to be known.” by Chelsea Cohen

Horses love Reiki too. I come to you and your horse.

Caterham, Oxted, Westerham, Woldingham, Tandridge, Selsdon, South Croydon, South Norwood and surrounding areas covered.
